Unfortunately either my laptop is having trouble recognising the the 8gb card or it is faulty. My system is only seeing 4gb that is on the mother board and i have no way of testing either of them for faults.

I recently bought 2 x 8GB DDR4 RAM and 2x8GB DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM off Kingston, they came very quickly, very well packed and have worked a treat. There is nothing like providing the full RAM capacity to improve your laptop's performance. I would thoroughly recommend Kingston to everyone., and would certainly avoid all the more risky, cheaper alternatives.
